Allen’s work has been seen from small cafés to museums, from commercials to PBS. “Being an artist is so freeing; you’re not bound by rules of nature or numbers.” Though Mort does have a great appreciation for both. Working formerly as a Technician for companies like IBM and Panavision, Allen enjoys working with light; whether it’s being drawn, painted, photographed or filmed. “Lighting is an emotion. It is life, which in turn, has a birth and a death.” Allen is also passionate about surfing and scuba diving.
